He was predeceased by: his wife Darlene Leifeld (Dolly); his siblings, Chesley Baker (Della), Irma Jean Lentz (Walter) and Robert Baker; his brother-in-law Warren Holm; and his parents-in-law, William and Julia Leifeld.
He is survived by: his children, Liz (Greg Luce) of Cheyenne, WY, Kate Kypuros (Jane), Gary Clark (Jennifer) of Amherst, NE, Mark Ervin (Mathew) of Neligh, NE and Rebecca Baker (Angela Baker) of Neligh, NE; his sister Nancy Holm; and his sister-in-law Judy Baker of Bellevue. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church - Neligh (702 W 11th St, Neligh, NE 68756). A wake was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
