We bid farewell to Arlene M. Francis of Neligh, Nebraska, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 15, 2024 at the age of 103. Arlene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Fichter and Phyllis Collins Fichter; her husbands, Harold VanPatter and Ray Francis; her sister Wanda Reiss; her son-in-law Larry Werkmeister; her grandson Tim Storm; her siblings-in-law, Naomi Marrs, Jolene Van Patter and Duane VanPatter; her stepchildren, Don, Dick Francis and Diane White; and her stepson-in-law Jim Jackson.
She is survived by: her children, Jeanne Werkmeister, Caryl Storm (Ron), Jule Jackson and Dennis Francis (Janet); and her children-in-law, Connie Francis and Sam White. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home (602 M St, Neligh, NE 68756). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Neligh Faith Community Church (205 E 5th St, Neligh, NE 68756). A burial was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at the Laurel Hill Cemetery.
