He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Knabe and Fern Knabe (Gansmer); his sisters, Margaret Staples and Ruth; his wife Maxine Knabe; his in-laws, Herman and Marie Meyer; and his brother-in-law Donald.
He is survived by: his daughter Susan Knabe; his grandchildren, Matthew Knabe (Jerica), Krystl Knabe (Cody Knopp), Daniel Knabe (Kayla) and Dustin Knabe (Natasha); his son David Knabe; his son-in-law Russell Rains; and his great grandchild Bennet Knabe. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
