He was predeceased by: his siblings, Eugene Shirley, Bobby Shirley and Donna Bonebright. He is survived by: his children, Scott Peters of Osage Beach, MO, Ben Shirley (Rachel) of Edwards, CO and Anne Bohl (Kirby) of Nebr; his close friend Christina Hilgerson of Nebraska City; his grandchildren, Carl James Shirley, Zayden and Ali Bohl; and his sister Nancy Fox of New York.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Otoe County Veterans Van.
