She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil L. Ballain and Marguerite M. Ballain (Fritz); her daughter Tammy S. Newby; and her siblings, Catherine Hale, Joan Pace, Mary Yenney, Cecil Raleigh Ballain, Charles Ballain and Robert Ballain.

She is survived by: her husband Ronald Newby of Nebr; her children, Jeff Newby (Rona) of Lincoln, NE, Lisa Zuccarello (Louis) of Bellevue, NE and Todd Newby of Nebr; her grandchildren, Jessa Newby, Tyler Newby, Veronica Zuccarello, Jackson Newby, Kade Newby and Delaney Newby; her siblings, Jack Ballain of Shenandoah, IA, Tony Ballain (Cathy) of Shenandoah, IA and Colleen Poggemeyer (Don) of Nebr; and her brother-in-law Walter Yenney of Plattsmouth, NE.
