She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick William "Fred" and Beulah Elizabeth Knittel (Smith); her husband Paul E. Carlson; her great grandchild LuvStarr; her granddaughter LuvStarr Adkins; and her siblings, Margaret Simpson, Doris Morris and Darwin "Bud" Knittel.
She is survived by: her children, William, Kenneth, Pamela and Valerie; her family Lula; her child Russell Carlson of Nebr; and her great grandchildren, Eric, Jesse (Michelle), William, Nicholas (Amanda), Jerimiah (Ashley), Elijah (U. S. Air Force), Mariah (Douglas), Crystal, Preston, Kolton, Skylar and Bobbi (Scott).
Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
