He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elmer Wurtele and Marjorie Wurtele (Pinkham); his spouse Gail Shearer; his children, Sheryl Wurtele of Denver, CO, Jerry Wurtele, Jr. (Susan) of Beaver Lake, NE and Jeff Wurtele of Nebraska City, NE.; his stepchildren, David Meyers of Athens, TX and Amy Frahm (Rusty) of Ashland, NE.; his grandchildren, Marlea Wurtele, Morgan Wurtele, Trey Frahm, Claire Meyers, Alexa Edmisten, Mason Wurtele and Cecelia Frahm; and his great grandchild Elliana Pinkham.
