It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Zaroban of Nebraska City, Nebraska, born in Hastings, Nebraska, who passed away on September 7, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth F. Jones and Roselma W. Jones (Hinz); her husband Marvin James Zaroban; her grandson Tyson Spilinek; her cousin Mary Brown; her parents-in-law, Richard and Elise Zaroban; her brothers, Dick (Lola Zaroban) and Don (Betty Zaroban); and her siblings-in-law, Marilyn and Jack Hecox.

She is survived by: her children, Spouses, Julie Spilinek, Hastings, Ken, Carla Zaroban, Todd and Stefany Zaroban; and her grandchild Spouse.

Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church.

““I am very sorry to hear about Barb's passing away. She was a very valuable and active member of our church. I appreciated her willingness to play for the worship services. I enjoyed her sense of humor. She was also active in the UM Women's organization, helping in various ways. I had just talked to her a few weeks ago and had a great visit. I didn't know that was going to be our last conversation. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. May God give you His comfort and Peace. Pastor Sam Rathod”

“I am so sorry to hear the sad news of our dear friend Barb. She enjoyed life. You always laughed a lot in her company. Barb and I did a table setting together at the church. She was a Republican with a donkey collection and I am a Democrat with a Elephant collection. We did a patriotic table setting and send a message that "if we can get along here, why can't you in Washington?" She gifted me with her donkey collection. I will always treasure Barb's friendship.
