He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence "Brownie" and Rose Kreifels (Volkmer); his wife Nellie Lou Burbee; his brothers, Virgil and Norman; and his daughter-in-law Jayne Kreifels.

He is survived by: his sons, Timothy Kreifels of Shenandoah, IA and Kevin Kreifels (Anita) of Grand Island, NE; his grandchildren, Rachel Kreifels, Ashley McIntosh, Katie Kreifels, Aaron Kreifels and Joseph Kreifels; his great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Julia, Andrew, Katy, Sawyer, Gage and Max; his brothers, Edwin Kreifels of Omaha, NE and Jerome Kreifels of Alda, NE; his sister-in-law Phyllis Burbee of Union, NE; and his friend Connie Finley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
