He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Best, Jr. and Izetta Best (Stevenson); his daughter Marandi Best; his son-in-law Jerry Teichman; and his nephew Tim Meister.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Best of Naper, Nebraska; his children, Rana Hanlon (Dan) of Page, Charity Griffin of Richland, Trisha Heiman (Chris) of Fremont, Nebraska and Richard Best, Jr. of Norfolk, Nebraska; his siblings, Harvey Best of Columbus and Jerri Meister (Bob) of California City, California; and his mother-in-law Patricia Mielak. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
