He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Pope and Ruby Mae Pope (Newton); his brothers, Raymond "Butch" and Thomas Pope; his grandsons, Zachary Brouhard and Nicholas Mutchler; and his great grandchild Codie Lingle.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Pope of Murray, NE; his children, Linda Brouhard (David) of Murray, NE, Nancy Gamache (John) of Plattsmouth, NE, Sharon Merriman (John) of Blair, NE, Debra Dubas (John) of Nebraska City, NE, James Pope (Colleen) of Nemaha, NE, Steven Pope (Melanie Hollmann) of Odessa, TX and Timothy Pope (Christine) of Underwood, IA; and his brother Lawrence "Denny" Pope of Omaha, NE. He is also survived by twenty-nine grandchildren; forty-eight great grandchildren.
