He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Albert and Katherine Emma Thomas (Gilbert); his sister Emma Jo Thomas; his former wife Barbara Thomas; his grandson Robert Charles Middour; his niece Cindy Blades; and his nephew Richard Charles Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Bishop; his friend June Wagner of Murray, NE; his children, Tim Thomas (Michelle) of Las Cruces, NM, Sherrie Wallace (Charlie) of Pleasant Hill, IA and Kathy Middour of Organ, NM; his grandchildren, David Rivas (Carla), Brandi Oxler (Kenny), Patrick Middour, Brandon Thomas (Kristen), Miranda Thomas and Jerry Rykiel (Lindsey); his great grandchildren, Bennett, Henry, Violet Rivas, Jacob, Sydney Oxler, Esperanza Escalante, Madison Middour, DeAnna Franco, Aria Ortega and Wyatt Rykiel; his brother Clyde Thomas (Sandra) of Des Moines, IA; and his cousin Ann Bramel (Karen Zulauf). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
