He was predeceased by: his father Paul Stander; and his brother Paul Stander Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Joyce Stander; his siblings, Diane Vice, Margaret Stander, Chuck and Don Stander; his nephew Alex Vice; his niece Katie Steffen (Lance); his great-nephews, Titus and Magnus Steffen; and his great-niece Eloise Steffen.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Madonna Foundation.
