He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Prentice and Elsie Prentice; his wife Esther Standlea; his sons-in-law, Gil Springer and Glenn Gillett; and his brothers, Wayne and Wesley.
He is survived by: his children, Alice Springer of Dunning, Barbara Gillett of Grand Island, LeRoy Prentice (Gina) of Grand Island and Ann Marie Shinn (Doug) of Dunning; his siblings, Robert Prentice (Bonnie) of Mullen, Evelyn Prentice of Oregon, Myra Fackler of Wellfleet and Mildred Szwanek of Mullen; his siblings-in-law, Joanne and Ken Saner of Alda; and his close friend Martha Boyer of Mullen. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren.
