He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Houser and Nina Leia Houser (Banta); and his sisters, Alice Mae Ouderkirk (Houser) of Morrill, NE and Annetta Jane Murrell (Houser) of Mitchell, NE.. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Shields (Helmer); his children, Douglas Edward Houser of Chappell, NE, Diana Lynn Peterson (Houser) of Bellevue, NE, Dean Allen Houser of Toluca Lake, CA and Corey Ray Houser of Wheatland, WY; his stepchildren, Sherry Ann Shields of Morrill, NE, Shelia Louise Weber (Shields) of Morrill, NE and Kenneth LaVearn Shields of Castle Rock, CO; and his siblings, Florence Darlene Hale (Houser) of Mitchell, NE, Clinton Daniel Houser of Jacksonville, FL, Nancy Lea Howard (Houser) of Youngwood, PA, Billy Joe Houser of Bayard, NE and Kay Allen Houser of Mitchell, NE.. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren/step-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later time.
