He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Kurtz and Elizabeth Kurtz; and his siblings-in-law, Marquis and Elda Purviance. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Purviance; his daughters, Sheila Jayne (Leo) of Morrill and Lisa Oliver (Curtis) of Highlands Ranch, CO; his grandchildren, Kenton Ewing (Nikki) and Lynsie Guething (Thomas); his great grandchildren, Paisley, Jackson Ewing and Obi Guething; and his siblings-in-law, Virginia Radford (Reo), Laverne Peters, Dorothy Purviance, Emma Purviance and Larry Purviance (Jean).
The family respectfully request that in lieu of flowers, memorials in Harlan's honor be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Morrill Fire and Rescue.
