He was predeceased by: his parents, George Batt and Eva Batt (Fertig); and his sister Karen Demand. He is survived by: his wife Betty Deines of Mitchell; his children, Sheila Yung (Mark) of Torrington and Dale Batt (Jenny) of Mitchell; his grandchildren, Lindsey Maybee, Ryan Yung (Samantha) of Torrington, Jesse Young (Kassidy Jenkins) and Corbin Batt of Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Claire, Cole Maybee and Matilda Yung of Torrington; his siblings, Dorthea Batt of Gering, Delores Kautz (George) of Belton, TX, Donna Wright (Jim) of Westminster, CO, Ed Batt (Carol) of Scottsbluff and Gary Batt (Nancy) of Gering; and his brothers-in-law, Ray Demand of San Antonio, TX and Dwight Deines (Susan Craig) of Mitchell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials in Wayne's honor be made in care of Trinity Lutheran Church, Mitchell Fire Department or the donor's choice.
