With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Schwichtenberg Nyquist of Mitchell, Nebraska, born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, who passed away on April 23, 2023 at the age of 104. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former husband Paul Schwichtenberg; her child Neila; her spouse Dean Nyquist of St. Clair; her grandson Corey Schwichtenberg; her daughter-in-law Jeanne Schwichtenberg; and her siblings, Elmer, Rodney, Gene Lamont and Delia Montan.
She is survived by: her sons, Donovan Schwichtenberg (Myrna) of Edina, Dennis Schwichtenberg of Fairmont and Leon Schwichtenberg (Marlene) of Bloomington; her stepdaughters, Mary Schenk (David) of Owatonna and Judy Winter (Richard) of Janesville; her sister Iris Reddeman (Richard) of North Mankato; and her sisters-in-law, Jeanette Drake and Irene Lamont. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
