It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia M. Swartz of Minden, Nebraska, who passed away on January 23, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Spindler and Catherine Spindler (Lathrop); her husband Boyd O. Swartz; her granddaughter Nicole Trease; her son-in-law Marvin Cody; her siblings, Kerry Spindler and Georgia Spindler; and her brother-in-law Warren Dale Fitzgerald.
She is survived by: her children, Lynette Trease (Richard) of Omaha, Pamela Cody (Swartz) of Minden and Michael Swartz (Pam) of Cheyenne, WY; her grandchildren, Jeremiah Hickman, Matthew Hickman, Dustin Swartz, Adriane McPhail, Brian Cody and Jessica Chavez; and her siblings, Wes Spindler and Susan Spindler. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Bethany Lutheran Church (437 E 4th St, Minden, NE 68959).
