She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Nelson and Edith Nelson (Olson); her husband Calvin Steen; her great grandchildren, Alyssa and Matthew; her siblings, Melva Ray, Evelyn Ruckman, Roscoe Nelson, Marjore Maier and Calvin Nelson; her in-laws, John and Alfreida Steen (Koch); and her siblings-in-law, Herbert Steen, Delano Steen and Shirley Steen.
She is survived by: her children, Paul Calvin (Kim) of Upland, Mary Ann Hanson (Tom) of Grand Island, Dixie Sindt (Harold) of Upland and Sharon Deerson (David) of Mead; and her sister-in-law Kathy Steen. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ruth's honor are kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
