He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Bruning and Doris Bruning (Bowen); and his siblings, Stanley Bruning and Nina Clark (Bruning). He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Middendorf (Middendorf) of Minden; his sons, Jodie W. Bruning (Lois Bruning) and Gregory R. Bruning; his granddaughter Amy Kingston (Dakota) of Minden; his son Greg Bruning (Julie Bruning); his granddaughter Alexandra Bruning of Chapman; and his brother Wayne Bruning (Helen) of Tucson, AZ.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to the Nebraska Christian School at 1847 Inskip Avenue, Central City, NE 68826.
