He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul W. Carlson and Vera D. Carlson (Bayer); his parents-in-law, Oscar and Verna Ecklund (Coy); his brother Cloyd; and his sister-in-law Elsie Ecklund.
He is survived by: his wife Marllys L. Ecklund of Minden; his children, Sue Ann (Paul Fromm) and Richard Carlson of Urbandale, IA; and his grandchildren, Jake (Emilie Fromm) of Des Moines, IA and Anna Fromm of Waukee, IA.
Current recommendations for faith based services will be followed and the use of a face mask is encouraged.
