He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Nielsen and Marilyn M. Nielsen (Seger); his parents-in-law, Charles and Beulah Warren; and his brothers-in-law, Ray and Jay Warren.
He is survived by: his wife Mary of Minden; his children, Kevin (Sabrina) of Oxford, Kurt (Stephanie) of Norton, KS, Kent (Holly) of Campbell, Kay Holt (Rusty) of Lincoln and Kim Quandt (Karl) of Grand Island; and his siblings, Terry Nielsen (Sandy) and Sharie Hubert (Andy). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
