She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilber Scarrow and Gracie Scarrow (McMillan); her husband Melvin L. Carter; her sons, Michael and Scott; and her siblings, Ethel, Jay Dee and Floyd.
She is survived by: her sons, Robert Carter (Julie) of Minden and Steven Carter (Jana) of Grand Island; her grandchildren, Nicholas Carter, Misty Cole, Rebecca Aspel and Lela Carter; and her siblings, Esther Burket (Ron), Elaine Petersen (Mike) and Lloyd Scarrow (Charlotte Hallet). She is also survived by many great grandchildren.
