It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona Barkus (Minatare, Nebraska), who passed away on January 29, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Guy William and Ola Grace Buckley (Popkay); her husband Donald Barkus; her children, Lela Daniels (Rodney), Lynn Lucus (Carol) and Valle Hendren (Kyle); her brothers, George, Lawrence, Donald, Larry and Randy Buckley; her sister-in-law Aletha Carstens (Wade); her daughter LaDawn Lucus; her brothers, Laverne Buckley and Raymond Milo Buckley; and her sisters-in-law, Theone Quintard and Mona Teasdale. She was also cherished by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
