With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty L Case of Minatare, Nebraska, born in Seneca, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 18, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Arends and Rosie Arends (Messman); her siblings, Clifford Arends (Wanda), Delbert "Bud" Arends (Marge), Glen "Rich" Arends (LuEtta) and Virginia Whitaker (Duane); her grandson Cory Case; and her son-in-law Steve Manka (Charles Case).

She is survived by: her children, Christy Manka of Minatare, Kirby Case (Kelly) of Gering, Tommy Case of Minatare and Marty Case of Minatare; her grandchildren, Ryan Manka, Bethany Case, Karl Case, Brandey Case, Jenny Tinnell (Zach), Casey Case and Cody Case (Tanesha); and her great grandchildren, Kori Case, Willow Case, Carson Tinnell, RaeLynn Tinnell, Blayn Tinnell, OakLynn Tinnell and Jacob Case. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“Betty knew people from up and down the north platte valley through her work in the post office — she was a good citizen who was helpful to people in minatare and other towns around the panhandle — she engaged with people in a healthy way, with a smile and a ready laugh — she and her family have had a real and positive impact on the people they have known — she set a good example for how to live with people and be part of a community — like many, many others I will miss seeing her — r.i.p.”
