He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Wolfer and Ina Wolfer (Hostetler); his daughter Cynthia; his siblings, Cliff (Mildred), Clate (Rosy), Lynn (Dorothy), Hughie, Blanche Kilmer (Paul), Luella Nice (Howard) and Helen Miller (Bud); and his siblings-in-law, Perry Burkey (Teresa), Clayton White (Verda), Alda Swartzendruber (Lloyd), Lorence Burkey (Floy), Marlin Burkey and Eldon Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Burkey; his children, Terry (Regina) of Columbia, Dan (Candace) of Beaver Crossing and Linda Helmuth (Wes) of Plain City, Ohio; his grandchildren, Matt Wolfer (Bailey), David Wolfer (Samantha), Blake Wolfer (Janette), Paige Zook (Jalon), Schyler Wolfer, Leyton Wolfer, Amanda Miller (Andrew), Nate Helmuth (Krista), Emily Dyer (Tyler), Ben Helmuth (Caroline), Mary Borkholder (Leighton) and Stewart Helmuth; his brother Les (Mary) of McMinnville, Oregon; and his sisters-in-law, Margie Burkey and Arla Leann Miller. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
