He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Ackerman and Clara Ackerman (Burkey); his wife Margaret McGonigle of Beaver Crossing; his sister Marjorie Kremer; his parents-in-law, Clyde and Wilma McGonigle; and his daughter-in-law Susan Ackerman.
He is survived by: his children, Russell Ackerman of Wilton, CT and Rachelle; his son-in-law Raymond Neverdahl of Leander, TX; his grandchildren, Adriana and Alexander Ackerman of New York City, NY; his brother-in-law Dale (LaDean McGonigle); and his close friend Ruth Lind of Colombus, NE. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
