It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ernie Bigelow of Merriman, Nebraska, born in Seattle, Washington, who passed away on July 16, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Verlia May Parmenter and Allen Ernest Bigelow; his sister Barbara Nutt; his foster parents, James Korf and Virginia Korf; his foster siblings, Pat Hare, Tula Strasburger, James Lee Korf and Bill Korf; and his siblings-in-law, LaVetta Korf and Richard Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Janice Kay Bigelow (Van Rossum) of Gordon, NE; his children, Vannicea Renee Bigelow (Patrick Dettloff) of Gordon, NE and James Justus Bigelow of North Platte, NE; his grandchildren, Brittnie Renae Bigelow of Minneapolis, MN and Trevar Allen Bigelow of Whitman, NE; his siblings, Ellen Dugger (Earl), Huldah Jane Bowden (Juan) and Louis Bigelow (Mareann); his brother-in-law James Nutt; his aunt Marie Bigelow; his foster mother Norma Halverson; his foster siblings, Les Hare, Cliff Korf, Nina Nash (Vaughn), Ina Smith and Dinah Eden (Rob); and his sisters-in-law, Gail Korf and Mary Korf. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
