He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Johns and Margaret Johns (Nichols); his wife Sue; and his siblings, Alice and Clyde.

He is survived by: his sons, LeRoy (Karen) of Keenesburg, Robert of Alliance and Rodney of Alliance; and his brother Glen. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
