She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Lee and Vera Mae Bush (Stuetzer); her husband Ervin Maris; her daughter Deb Petty (Dan); her sons-in-law, Todd Baker and David Skraback; her granddaughters, Dawn Salyer, Amber Hernandez and Heather Schrauth; and her brother Harold "Hal" Bush (Dory).
She is survived by: her children, Don Maris (Diane) of Eureka, MO, Roger Maris (Jennifer) of McCook, Michael Maris (Tanya) of Gering, NE, Marie Baker of McCook, Shirley Riener (Cliff) of Palisade, NE, Karen Riemann (Carl) of McCook, Jane Foster (Jim) of Bartley, NE and Mary Maris of Emporia, KS; her sister Sarah Jane Hanson (Jim) of St. Clair Shores, MI; and her brother-in-law Delbert Maris (Roberta) of McCook, NE. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Sandy donated to the local blood bank up until the age of 65 and continued to help with local elections as her health allowed.
