With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth B. Shields (McCook, Nebraska), born in Indianola, Nebraska, who passed away on December 13, 2019 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Bamesberger and Millie Bamesberger (Fichtner); her husband Howard Shields; and her siblings, Arlene Clapp, Kenneth Bamesberger, Norma Burton and Iris Rowley.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Minnick (Bill) of Cambridge, Michael Shields (Deb) of McCook, Tom Shields (Cindy) of McCook and Mary Hazlitt (Monte) of McCook; her grandchildren, Brian Minnick (Erin), Kyle Minnick (Samantha), Creighton Shields (Kindra), Lisa Pietig (Craig), Mitch Hazlitt (Aimee), Allyx Garretson (Dillon), Lindsey Siegfried (Adam), Drew Shields, Krystal Weber (Clayton) and Brent Hazlitt (Tonia); her siblings, Lois Lueking of Fallbrook, CA and Dale Bamesberger (Janet) of Indianola; and her sisters-in-law, Helen Maurer of Holdrege and June Bamesberger of Colorado Springs, CO. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.
