He was predeceased by: his daughter Tamara Tophane; his sister Patricia Williams; and his parents, George Tophane and Ruth Tophane. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Bryan; his son Michael Tophane of Lincoln; his grandchildren, Charles Tophane, Brycen Tophane and Justeena Dobbins (Jesse); his great grandchild Chloe; and his nieces, Reesa Davis (Jerry) and Krista Beverly.
In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial.
