He was predeceased by: his parents, Simeon J. Carter and Jessie M. Carter (Hartford); his wife Eleanor Carter (Nelms); and his siblings, Warren, Bryan, Ernest, Harvey, Marion, Calvin, Wayne, Forrest Carter, Velma Shade and Norma Dawson.
He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Roger Nelms of McCook, NE, Dona Nelms of Cambridge, NE and Shirley Nelms of McCook, NE. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
