It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael William Shields of McCook, Nebraska, who passed away on November 6, 2021, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard William and Ruth B. Shields (Bamesberger); his father-in-law Wesley Farr; and his niece Kayla Hubert. He is survived by: his former wife Debra Sue Farr; his wife Deb Shields of McCook; his siblings, Nancy Minnick (Bill) of Cambridge, Tom Shields (Cindy) of McCook and Mary Hazlitt (Monte) of McCook; his mother-in-law Charlotte Farr of Cambridge; and his siblings-in-law, Kristi Shifflet (Kim) of Cambridge, Janet Hubert (Fritz) of McCook, Brad Farr (Laurie) of Cambridge and Scott Farr (Cheryl) of Norton, Kansas. He is also survived by 23 nieces and nephews; 38 great-nieces and great-nephews; aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
