With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marilyn Louise Malleck of McCook, Nebraska, who passed away on December 29, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Brown and Margaret L. Brown (O'Berg); her husband Robert Malleck; her children, Kellie Mullen and Christopher; and her brother Norris Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Ray Malleck (Joyce) of Imperial, NE, Joan Bass (Randy) of Culbertson, NE and Cheryl Leitner (Deon) of Plattsmouth, NE; her brothers, Harry Brown (Jan) of Omaha, NE and John Brown of McCook, NE.; and her son-in-law Jim Mullen. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren, 10 step great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home (305 W C St, McCook, NE 69001). A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (409 E F St, McCook, NE 69001). A burial was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, are suggested in Marilyn's name to be designated at a later date.
