He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney McCoy Hixson and Grace Evelyn Hixson (McCracken); his wife Barbara A. Jones; his stepmother Minnie; his daughter Catherin A. Myers; his grandson Angus Myers; and his siblings, Clarence Hixson, Howard Hixson, Roy Hixson, Geneva Hixson and Jewell Hixson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debra Kay Maris (Gerald) of Culbertson, Nebraska, Peggy J. Savage of Omaha, Nebraska and Linda L. Koetter of McCook; his son-in-law Arden Myers of McCook; and his siblings, Loretta Kinley of Jonesborough, Tennessee, Margaret Manchey of Johnson City, Tennessee, Betty Daniels of Jonesborough, Tennessee, Janice Hollard of Ashville, Kenneth Hixson of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Sidney Hixson of Unicoi, Tennessee. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
