He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Lee and Florence M. Bennett (Farnsworth); his son Tim Bennett; his son-in-law Pete Burger; and his brothers, Roger Bennett and Paul Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Patty" M. Bennett (McMahan) of McCook; his children, Daylene Bennett of Estes Park, CO, Tom Bennett (Jody) of McCook, Terry Bennett (Tammy) of Estes Park, Tony Bennett (Sharon) of McCook and Todd Bennett (Julie) of Grand Island, NE; his brother Dean Bennett of Pottsboro, TX; his great grandchild Kisha; and his grandchildren, Joshua Bennett (Brian) of West Orange, NJ and Nicole.
