He is survived by: his sons, Bill (Carrol Bortner) of McCook, Nebraska, Robert (Barbara Bortner) of McCook, Nebraska and Ben (Ginny Bortner) of McCook, Nebraska; his great great grandchildren, Bonnie Terry (Doug), Justin, Coy, Abbee, Quentin, Bret Bortner (Bobbi), Cash (Megan), Corinne, Caden, Becky McIntosh (Eric), Max, Cooper, Brenda Whitten (Brad), Callie, Adelyn, Berkley, Amy Brown (Nick), Ellie, Austin, Grace, Ashton, Madison, Heath Bortner (Jessica), Charlie, Luke Bortner (Karen), Layten, Paige, Charlotte, Lori Harding (Patrick), Declan, Shanlie, Gannon, Aidan, Jill Koenig (Carl), Becca, Addison, Lance, Katelyn, Wayne Bortner (Lisa), Kyler, Riley, Zoey and Blaine Bortner; his sister-in-law Marjorie Schlegel; and his uncle Gerald E. Traphagan (Red). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren.
