He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Barenberg and Cecilia Barenberg (Lippold); his siblings, Myron Barenberg and Janice; his brother-in-law Frank Irvin; his sister Geraldine; and his brother-in-law Bob Nemeth.
He is survived by: his wife Fay Ann Barenberg of McCook; his children, David Barenberg (Joann), Debra Lauer (Ron) and Denise Gillen (Lance) of McCook; his grandchildren, Brad Lauer (Jill), Bailey Crick (Brandon), Danielle Schumacher (Dylan), Kelsey Gillen, Kassidy Gillen, Easton Gillen, Brooklynn Gillen, Justin Barenberg and Logan Barenberg; and his great grandchildren, Aiden Lauer, Oakland Lauer, Talan Schumacher, Torryn Schumacher and Riylen Schumacher.
Memorials are suggested to the family of Eldon Barenberg for future designation.
