She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward "Ted" Charles and Olive Delphine Smith (Keller); her husband Melvin Ervin Bailey; her stepfather Lewis Trusty; her daughter Laurie Ann Carlton; and her brothers, Myron "Bubbie" Smith (Grace) and Marvin "Corky" Smith (Kay).

She is survived by: her son Ervin Bailey (Joyce) of McCook; her granddaughter Catherine Cobb (Justin); her daughter Anne of Cambridge, Nebraska; her granddaughter Ashley Elliott (Steven); her children, Jarrod and Kendra of Oberlin, Kansas; her grandson Jared Bailey (Emily); her son Micah of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and her siblings, Lois Coons of Callaway, Nebraska, Beverly Bailey (Dale) of Broken Bow, Nebraska and Gary Smith (Penny) of Parker, Colorado. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
