We are sad to announce that on January 5, 2024, at the age of 99, Donald Asher Brooks of McCook, Nebraska, born in North Platte, Nebraska passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Donald Asher Brooks to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald F. Brooks and Nina A. Brooks (Short); his former wife Helen V. Bryant of Memphis; and his sisters, Mary Watson (David) and Bobbie Schiek (Charles).
He is survived by: his wife Dr. Brooks; his close friend Phyllis Coolidge; his children, Carolyn (John Brantigan) of Shaw Island, WA and Bryant (Peggy Brooks) of McCook; and his sister Abigail Tobler of Denver, CO. He is also survived by five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Instead of flowers, the family has requested memorials be left in Dr. Brooks' name to either the McCook YMCA, Community Hospice of McCook, Hillcrest Nursing Home Foundation, or St. Alban's Episcopal Church.
