He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. O'Dea and Louise M. O'Dea (Nothnagel); his siblings, Betty Phillips and Carlton O'Dea; his parents-in-law, Enid and Lafayette Hurley; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Phillips, Maxwell Nelms and Jerald Weed.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara K. Bender; his children, Kenneth O'Dea (Kristy) of Hubbard Lake, James O'Dea (Kim) of McCook, Patricia Fulton (David) of Pleasanton and Pamela Adams (Douglas) of Fort Worth, Texas; his sister Dona Nelms of Cambridge, Nebraska; and his sisters-in-law, Darlene Weed of Kennewick, Marilyn Bohl of McCook and Andrea O'Dea of McCook. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Hillcrest Foundation or to Community HealthCare and Hospice of McCook, in Densel's name.
