He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Maris and Mildred Maris (Bahlke); his daughter Darlene Geihsler; his grandson Craig Geihsler; his siblings, Irvin Maris, Elaine Bley and Jean Wach; and his siblings-in-law, Ron Wach, Irvin Bley and Sandra Maris.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta; his sons, Gary Maris of McCook, Gerald Maris (Debra) of Culbertson and Ron Maris of McCook; his grandchildren, Rod Geihsler, Lisa Johnson, Chris Maris and Richard Maris; his great grandchildren, Emily, Alexa Johnson, Avory, Halee Maris, Gage Geihsler and Jaidon Kimball; and his son-in-law Gene Geihsler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
