She was predeceased by: her parents, Darrell Elkins and Peggy Elkins (Southby); and her uncle Ray (Keuck). She is survived by: her husband Daniel Olson of McCook Lake; her children, David Schuetz (Mindy) of McCook Lake, SD, Jon Schuetz (Erin) of Sergeant Bluff, IA, Michael Olson (Kimberly) of Hudson, WI, Brad Olson (Edarra) of Glendale, AZ and Nichole Petersen (Brandon) of Woodbury, MN; her grandchildren, Lawson, Landen, Holden, Maysen, Faith, Paige, Willow, Elizabeth, Emily, Clayton, Alexander, Aria and Najika; and her sisters, Janice DeBuhr (Larry) and Sheryl Elkins (Gale Ferdig). She is also survived by her husband, sisters, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to the Elks National Foundation in Darlene's name.
