It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alma Mae Short (McCook, Nebraska), born in Holyoke, Colorado, who passed away on September 24, 2018, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hanke and Alma Hanke; her husband Jim Short; and her siblings, Virginia Fisher, William Jr., Kenneth and Vernon Hanke.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Salyer (Lynn) of Kearney and Donna Short of Kearney; her grandchildren, David Salyer (Dawn), Haven, Evelyn, Jocelyn, Peregrine of Kearney, Joshua Salyer (Kellanie), Laila, Ronan, Esmae of Kearney, Justin Salyer of Central City, Moriah Bartram (Colter), Angelo and Dorian of Lincoln; and her sister Wilda Willis (Marvin) of Amarillo, TX. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
