He was predeceased by: his parents, James Monroe and Irene Faye Powell (Jolly); his brother Jimmy Powell; and his brother-in-law Merwin Grafton. He is survived by: his former wife Judy Thomas; his wife Patricia Powell of Trenton; his children, Michelle Malleck (Shawn) of Indianola, Janelle Jury (Toby) of Kearney, Michael Powell (Tammy) of McCook and Tanner Powell (Anna) of Indianola; his stepchildren, Richard Wiese (Amber) of Coolidge, Danielle Patterson (Nick) of North Platte and Kurt Wiese (Sara) of Johnstown, Colorado; his grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Candance Malleck, Trace, Zachary, Emily Jury, Tara Peterman (David), Ryan Powell, Spencer Powell and Harlow Powell; his stepgrandchildren, Jada, Tammy, Jaymie, Baily, Lilyana, Sabrina Wiese, Sabian and Rory Gragg; his great grandchildren, Kali, Brailyn, Ryker, Brexley and Boosier; his sister Coleen Rippe (LaVerne); and his siblings-in-law, Virginia Grafton and Jim North (Pam). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
