It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Bain (Maxwell, Nebraska), who passed away on March 24, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert Bain to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifferd Bain (Bounce) and Irene Bain (Hammond); his wife Bonnie Jones; his parents-in-law, Vilas and Neva Jones; his brother-in-law Steve Bussinger; his nephew Erich Bussinger; his sister-in-law Jeannie Gibson; and his great grandchild Ashlynn Gonzales.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Brestel (Doug) of Callaway, NE, Sharmin Gonzales (Joe) of Kearney, NE and Cody Bain of Dunlap, IA; his grandchildren, Jake Gonzales (Megan), Jaide Adams (Jessie), Denton Votaw, Cole Gonzales (Terri), Haylee Johnson (Zak), Mia Bain, Alex Brestel, Dylan Oviatt, Brady Brestel, Tyra Brestel and Levi Bain; his sister Connie Bussinger; and his brothers-in-law, Ronald Jones (Jean), Donald Jones and Dan Gibson.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Curtis Methodist Church. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fort McPherson National Cemetery (12004 South Spur 56a, Maxwell, NE 69151).
