We are sad to announce that on November 14, 2024, at the age of 85, Karen Christner (Maxwell, Nebraska) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Nordhausen and Sophia Nordhausen (Bischoff); and her husband Albert Christner (Loyd). She is survived by: her children, Rene' Maris (Joe), Jayden Maris (Ashli, family: Kobe, Braxton, Gavyn, Anna), Randi Hunter (Lincoln, family: Chaynee, Nixyn) and Jonee Chilewski (Brady); her grandchildren, Charlee and Brix; her children, Curtis Christner (Deana), Veronica Jackson (Mike) and Stefanie Watkins (Andy); her grandchildren, Nathan, Andrea, Courtney Christner (Aaron) and Connor Christner (Mariya); her daughter Renelle Mooney (Barry); and her grandchildren, Rylee, Blayzon and Ryker.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (33851 726 Rd, Wauneta, NE 69045). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:20 AM at the Fort McPherson National Cemetery (12004 S Spur 56a, Maxwell, NE 69151).
Memorials in Karen's name are suggested to the St Paul's Lutheran Church LWML or to the Parkinson's Foundation.
