It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Illa Mae Warner (Maxwell, Nebraska), born in McCook, Nebraska, who passed away on October 13, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her grandson Matthew Shaffer; her siblings, Lavon Woody (Dean), Ramona Wlaschin (Ray), Margery Cochran and Harold Cochran (Maxine); her siblings-in-law, Dale and Evelyn Berry; and her in-laws, Clay and Dessa Warner.
She is survived by: her husband Bud; her children, Joni Sigwing (Mike) of Gering, Jim Shaffer (Roz) of Paxton and Jeff Shaffer (Jenny) of Las Vegas; her grandchildren, Amy Mae Pullens (Nick), Ashley Reed (Tony), Amber Dowdell (Andre), Jamey Shaffer, Nick Shaffer, Jennifer Shaffer, Joshua Shaffer (Chris), Alicia Peterson (Luke) and Alex Shaffer; her great grandchildren, Dylan, Drew, Ellie, Emma, Avaya Mae, Quincy, Kiara, Knox and DiCaprio; her great great grandchild Andi McNeff; her sister Ruby Sailors (Keith); her stepchildren, Scott Warner (Teri) of Hawaii, Dixie Scharf (David) of Lincoln, Jeff Wamer (Michelle) of Independence and Valerie Rexus of Gering; her stepgrandchildren, Ryan Scharf (Kenette), Brooks Scharf, Baillie Reisberg (Jeff), Lindsey Ellis (Brian), Cole Coplen (Stephanie) and Katy Warner; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Will, Kate, Jackson, Jacob, Hunter, Aubrey, Libby, Harper, Reagan, Bently, Teagan and Dillon. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
